ANTIQUE – A one-year-old child tragically drowned in the waters of Barangay Atabay, Tobias Fornier, Antique.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Richmond Roquero, investigator of the Tobias Fornier Municipal Police Station, the victim was left under the care of an older sibling, a six-year-old child, while their father was at work. Their mother, on the other hand, was selling goods by going around the community.
When the mother returned home, she looked for her children and found her six-year-old child swimming at the beach. However, she was shocked to discover her one-year-old child floating lifelessly in the water.
The child was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
