A 15-year-old minor was caught in possession of illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation conducted by Iloilo City Police Station 9 (ICPS 9) in Barangay Maria Cristina, Jaro, Iloilo City.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Bert,” is a resident of Barangay San Isidro in the same district.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Major Eduardo Siacon Jr., chief of Police Station 9, said the transaction was arranged online. It was only later discovered that the suspect was a minor.
Authorities recovered a total of 3 grams of suspected shabu from the suspect, with an estimated street value of ₱20,400.
Police monitored the suspect for a week before the operation, and he had no prior criminal record.
The suspect reportedly did not reveal the source of his supply.
He is currently under the custody of Balay Dalayunan in the Lapuz district after being turned over by the police, pending the results of his drug test.
Police investigation is ongoing to determine the minor’s possible connections in the drug trade.
