ILOILO CITY – Ginkoronahan bilang third runner-up ang pambato sang Pilipinas sa Miss International 2023 nga si Nicole Borromeo.
Sa ginpatigayon nga 61st Miss International pageant, nakasulod sa first cut si Nicole, sa final 15 kag nag-advance sa Top 7.
Sa question and answer portion, ginpamangkot si Nicole: “The Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs by the United Nations have targets that are set to be achieved by 2030. What have you done so far in terms of SDGs initiatives?”
Sa iya sabat, ginpakigbahin ni Nicole ang iya volunteer work sa non-profit organization nga Habitat for Humanity Philippines.
“As someone who experienced the wrath of natural disasters, home is everything. I’ve worked tirelessly with Habitat for Humanity under the SDG goals of Number 11: Sustainable cities and communities. It is through this volunteer work that I could see in the faces of the children, how much they wanted to help, how much they wanted to be a part of the future. Because when it comes to sustainability, we must keep in mind that it’s not only for the next generation but to include them in the process,” suno kay Nicole.
Samtang, si Miss Bolivia ang fourth runner-up, samtang ang mga representatives sang Peru kag Columbia ang ginhingadlan bilang second kag first runner-up.
Nakuha naman ni Andrea Rubio sang Venezuela ang Miss International 2023 crown.
Ulihi nga nakuha sang Pilipinas ang prestigious crown sang 2016 sang nakuha ni Kylie Versoza ang ika-anum nga titulo.
