𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – A man was killed early this morning in Iloilo City after his motorcycle collided with a 10-wheeler truck along the Iloilo Radial By-Pass Road 4 in Barangay Lanit, Jaro.
The victim, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, was struck by the truck driven by Ronald Lara, 45, a resident of Passi City. Lara explained in an interview with Bombo Radyo that he was on his way to Iloilo City from San Enrique, Iloilo, to deliver a cargo of sand to Guimaras Island.
Lara said the victim was riding his motorcycle at high speed and swerved unpredictably. The motorcycle fell off the road and collided with the truck’s front, where the victim was thrown and dragged about 30 meters. The victim’s cargo of pasta and macaroni, intended for the Christmas holiday, was also destroyed in the accident.
The victim was rushed to a hospital in Iloilo City but was later pronounced dead. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
