𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗨𝗡𝗔𝗢, 𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 — The Lambunao Police are currently investigating three individuals of interest in connection with the murder of Vicente Sumido, whose body was discovered on a dike in Brgy. Tranghawan on Sunday, December 22.

According to Police Major Roy Tayona, chief of the Lambunao Municipal Police Station, the suspects may have been involved in a theft with the victim prior to the killing, based on ongoing investigations. While authorities initially suspected the murder might be linked to illegal drug activities, they are now focusing on angles involving theft and prior criminal behavior.

Sumido, who had a history of criminal cases, including theft, attempted murder, and drug use, was believed to have been involved in illicit activities before his death. Police have ruled out a connection to drugs and are now investigating his past connections and possible motives tied to his involvement in theft.

As part of the investigation, authorities will be conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of Sumido’s death, as they continue to piece together the events leading to the tragic incident.

The Lambunao Police remain committed to uncovering the truth behind Sumido’s death and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
