𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – A Christmas celebration turned into tragedy for one individual after the SUV they were driving crashed into a post along JM Basa Street, Iloilo City Proper, in front of Plaza Libertad.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Elmer Sacay, an e-bike driver, recounted that he had just moved from the side of the road when he witnessed the SUV crash into the post. According to Sacay and other witnesses, the vehicle was traveling at a high speed.
The crash caused a powerful impact, causing the post to topple immediately.
The unidentified driver was rushed to the hospital following the accident, though their condition remains unclear. Authorities are investigating the incident, and the cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
This tragic event has cast a shadow over the usually festive Christmas season, leaving the local community in shock and mourning.
It is believed that the driver was intoxicated, as rescuers reported smelling alcohol on him when he was rescued. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
