𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – The Iloilo City Government is all set to host the highly anticipated Grand 2025 New Year’s Countdown at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand. According to an interview with Joy Fantilaga, spokesperson for Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, the event will begin at 10:00 PM tonight and continue until 2:00 AM tomorrow, January 1, 2025.
Fantilaga revealed that the celebration will feature a live band performance and a spectacular fireworks display, adding excitement to the festivities. Over 300 personnel from various agencies will be deployed to ensure the safety and security of the event.
The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) will send more than 100 personnel from different units to monitor the celebration. Additionally, more than 50 multipliers, including barangay watchmen, will assist the ICPO in maintaining order.
The Transportation Traffic Management Office (TTMO) will also deploy over 50 staff members, including traffic enforcers, support personnel, and members of the Emergency Communication Team (ECT), to ensure smooth traffic flow during the event.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) will be on standby in strategic areas to respond to any health-related emergencies. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and volunteer fire brigades will be ready in case of fire-related incidents or other emergencies.
In addition, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will deploy patrol vessels to monitor maritime activities during the celebration.
With these preparations, the Iloilo City Government is ensuring a fun, safe, and memorable New Year’s Eve celebration for all participants.
