ILOILO CITY – A series of intensified anti-drug operations led by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) resulted in the seizure of approximately 193 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,312,000 and the arrest of 15 individuals within a 24-hour period.

The operations were conducted from 6:00 AM on March 22 to 5:59 AM on March 23.

Among those apprehended, two were identified as high-value individuals, while 13 were classified as street-level suspects.

Based on police records, the following units contributed to the arrests:

Aklan Police Provincial Office – 2

Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) – 5

Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office – 4

Bacolod City Police Office – 2

Iloilo City Police Office – 2

The largest drug seizure in a single operation took place in Barangay Barasan, Pototan, Iloilo, on March 22, 2025, at 3:33 PM. The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) Drug Enforcement Teams confiscated around 140 grams of suspected shabu from four suspects.

The arrested suspects are now in police custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, Regional Director of PRO-6, praised the operatives for their successful operations, emphasizing that the achievement reflects their dedication and relentless efforts in combating the illegal drug trade. He also highlighted the strong collaboration between law enforcement and various stakeholders in the fight against illegal drugs.

Despite the progress made, he stressed the need to maintain the intensity of their operations to safeguard communities from the dangers of drug-related activities.#
