Acting Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte appears to be seeking a new schedule for his charity boxing match against Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III, originally set for Sunday, July 27.
In a recent video statement, Duterte revealed that he usually has other commitments on Sundays and would prefer to move the event to another day.
He mentioned that he is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, or any other day—as long as it’s not Sunday.
Duterte added that rescheduling might actually be beneficial for Gen. Torre, giving him more time to train.
He even offered some advice to the PNP chief, suggesting he improve his punches and focus more on defending his face, noting that Torre’s strikes seemed off and his defense weak.
