TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte – A gruesome discovery was made by workers constructing a septic tank at a boarding house in Barangay Apokon when they found the remains of a 17-year-old student inside a sack.
According to the Tagum City Police, the workers were digging when they stumbled upon a sack.
When they opened it, they were horrified to find a decomposed body along with several personal items, including clothes, a watch, shoes, and underwear.
The body was later confirmed to be that of Quinne Grace Arong, a student from Liceo de Davao, who had been missing since March 4, 2020.
Her family was contacted and confirmed the items as belonging to their daughter.
Authorities are now investigating a person of interest and suspect foul play, with the possibility that the student was assaulted before her death.
