Bombo Radyo Philippines once again demonstrated its excellence in broadcasting after winning three major awards and receiving two special citations at the 47th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) — reaffirming its commitment to truthful, responsible, and community-oriented journalism.
Leading the honors is Bombo Network News, hailed as Best News Program for the second consecutive year — a back-to-back recognition for the network’s flagship newscast.
Other major winners include Bombo Special Report, which bagged Best Business News or Feature, and Pinoy Memories of Star FM Iloilo, which won Best Entertainment Program.
The network also received special citations for Bombo Lifestyle (Best Public Service Program) and Istoryang Pasada: Takbo of Star FM Manila (Best Counseling Program).
This year’s CMMA is particularly significant for Bombo Radyo Philippines as it qualified in all nine radio categories, highlighting the network’s strong presence across news, public affairs, and entertainment programming.
