Tubungan, Iloilo – An 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted and later killed inside their residence in Barangay Ingay, Tubungan, Iloilo—a crime that has shocked the local community.

Dr. Owen Lebaquin, medico-legal officer who conducted the autopsy, confirmed that the victim bore clear signs of sexual abuse, including abrasions in her genital and anal areas, indicating forcible rape.

“The injuries strongly suggest that the victim was sexually violated before her death,” Dr. Lebaquin stated in an interview with Bombo Radyo.

The autopsy also revealed multiple traumatic injuries to the head, which were determined to be the cause of death. The victim sustained bruises consistent with blunt force trauma, possibly from being punched or having her head struck against a hard object.

Additional wounds—including bruises on the arms, cuts on the hands, and marks on the legs-suggest that the young woman resisted fiercely during the attack.

An investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.

The brutal nature of the crime has triggered outrage among residents, who are calling for swift justice for the victim.
