Ginpahayag sang Department of National Defense (DND) nga handa sila magbulig sa mga ahensya nga responsable sa pag-evacuate sa mga Filipino nga yara sa Ukraine kag na-ipit sa pagsalakay sang Russia.
Suno kay Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, ma-id-id nila nga gina-monitor ang sitwasyon sa Ukraine.
“We are monitoring the situation closely and are standing by to assist our other government agencies led by the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) in repatriating our citizens from Ukraine, if and when we are called upon to do so.”
“We hope that the situation does not escalate beyond what can still be resolved through diplomacy and the international rules-based ord.”
Base sa rekord sang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), masobra 200 ang numero sang mga Pinoy nga padayon nga gina-evacuate sa Ukraine.
Una diri, nagbyahe si DFA Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. sa Ukrainian border agud personal nga pangunahan ang evacuation kag agud masigurado nga safe ang mga Pinoy sa Ukraine.
Ginabanta sa 380 ang numero sang mga Pinoy sa Ukraine kag may yara naman sang mga nakapauli sa pungsod, samtang ang iban, nag-evacuate kaupod ang tagsa-tagsa nila ka mga amo.
