𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – The streets of Iloilo City come alive with the aroma of Ilonggo delicacies as the food festival, a key event of the Dinagyang Festival 2025, officially begins.

Running from January 23 to 26, the food festival showcases a wide array of local dishes, promising a feast for food lovers.

Mr. Rito Carlos “Judgee” Peña, Chairman of the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Incorporated, shared in an interview with Bombo Radyo Iloilo that visitors can expect to enjoy culinary icons such as the beloved La Paz Batchoy and Pancit Molo.

In addition to the food stalls around the city, visitors can also enjoy delicious offerings at Plazuela de Iloilo in Mandurriao.

The festival also features live performances from local artists, adding to the lively atmosphere of the event.

This celebration is particularly significant as Iloilo City has been honored as the Philippines’ first “Creative City of Gastronomy” by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

This recognition highlights the city’s rich culinary heritage and innovative food culture.

The food festival is a testament to Iloilo City’s vibrant gastronomy scene, offering locals and tourists alike a unique way to experience Ilonggo culture during the Dinagyang Festival.
