A taxi driver crashed into an electric post after allegedly falling asleep while driving in Barangay Guihaman, Leganes, Iloilo.
The driver, identified as alias Toto, 32 years old and a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Leganes, was reportedly on his way to Iloilo City from his home to start his first trip.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Senior Master Sergeant Emmanuel Maude, investigator of the Leganes Municipal Police Station (MPS), stated that the driver fell asleep while driving, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a post on the left side of the road.
Fortunately, the driver did not sustain any serious injuries and was brought home after receiving first aid.
