MANILA – Nagpanawagan sanday Presidente Rodrigo Duterte kag Vice President Leni Robredo sa mga Pilipino nga ikabuhi ang kaisog sang amay sang Philippine Revolution nga si Andres Bonifacio subong nga COVID-19 pandemic kag mga paglaslas sang bagyo.
Ini ang ginpahayag sang duha ka matag-as nga lider sang pungsod kadungan sang ika 157 ka tuig nga kaadlawan ni Bonifacio.
Suno kay Duterte, si Bonifacio ang nagdabok sang rebolusyon kag nagpukaw sang paino-ino sang pungsod nga nagserbe bilang pundasyon sang Pilipinas sa tion sang tyemyo sang Espanyol.
“Bonifacio sparked the fires of the revolution that awakened our national consciousness and served as the foundation of this republic during Spanish colonial rule, pahayag ni Duterte.
Ginpahayag sang presidente nga subong nga nagapangatubang ang pungsod sang COVID-19 pandemic, nagakadapat nga magserbe bilang inspirasyon si Bonifacio para sa isa ka progresibo nga sosyudad nga madugay na nga ginapanan-aw nga matuman.
“Now more than ever, as we overcome the challenge of COVID-19 pandemic, as we remember his life and deeds, may the values he fought for inspire us all to become martyrs of the just, progressive, and inclusive society that he envisioned more than a century ago. Fueled by extraordinary courage and determination, let us surmount the many challenges ahead and secure a much better and brighter future for every Filipino,” dugang pa sang presidente.
Samtang suno naman kay Robredo, kilala si Bonifacio bilang maisog nga Supremo sang Katipunan kag amay sang Rebolusyon nga sadto anay isa ka trabahador sa warehouse kag messenger.
“Bonifacio’s courage is rooted in his love for fellow Filipinos, the insistence that no one should be abused or neglected, and the belief that everyone has a right to dream and a capacity to forge a better life in a freer and more humane country,” pahayag ni Robredo.”
Ginpahayag ni Robredo nga indi pakita-kita ang kaisog ni Bonifacio bangud ini ang iya ginhimo nga may simpatiya sa mga Pilipino.
“Hindi pakitang-tao ang tapang na ito. Ito ang tapang na hindi basta-basta tumitiklop dahil mahirap ang landas na hinaharap,” pahayag ni Robredo.
“What Bonifacio exemplifies is not the cosmetic courage of bluster, or power, or brute strength; it is the courage of compassion,” dugang pa sang bise presidente.

“Filipinos can emulate Bonifacio by helping calamity survivors, following guidelines to halt the spread of COVID-19, and opposing any negligence or abuse,” pahayag sang bise Presidente.
