A Low-Pressure Area (LPA), formerly Tropical Depression Querubin, currently within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), has a high chance of intensifying into a Typhoon or Tropical Depression once again within the next 24 hours.
The LPA is estimated to be located 245 km east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
Meanwhile, the Shear Line is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon.
The Shear Line refers to a narrow zone where there is a sudden change in the direction of the wind.
This convergence or collision of winds often leads to thunderstorms or heavy rainfall along the Shear Line.
Additionally, the Northeast Monsoon, locally known as “Amihan,” is influencing the remaining parts of Luzon.
