Police were able to apprehend a 15-year-old and a 21-year-old male following a brawl that occurred in Barangay Poblacion, Leon, Iloilo.
The 15-year-old, identified as alias “Tatoy,” is a student and resident of Poblacion, Leon, while the 21-year-old, known as alias “Zendrick,” is a resident of Barangay Buga, Leon.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Staff Sergeant Edzel Edlang, investigator of the Leon Municipal Police Station (MPS), stated that a “victory ball” was being held at the town plaza when they received a report about a commotion outside a convenience store.
Based on the investigation, there had been a prior conflict between two groups of youth, and when they encountered each other, a commotion and scuffle broke out.
The 15-year-old sustained injuries on various parts of his body, while the 21-year-old showed signs of being punched.
The parents of the two youths were immediately summoned, and the police were able to identify other individuals involved. Both groups will be referred to the barangay for mediation.
