𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – The much-awaited highlight of the Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2025 took place today, drawing large crowds to celebrate the vibrant culture and heritage of Iloilo.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo Iloilo, Mr. Rito Carlos Peña, Chairman and Artistic Director of the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc., announced that eight tribes showcased their exceptional talents and skills during this year’s festivities.
The participating tribes were:
- Tribu Paghidaet from La Paz National High School
- Tribu Salognon from Jaro National High School
- Tribu Parianon from Molo District
- Tribu Ilonganon from Jalandoni Memorial National High School
- Tribu Pag-asa Kang Manduryaw from Mandurriao District
- Tribu Hangaway from Graciano Lopez Jaena Elementary School
- Tribu Molave from Brgy. San Rafael, Mandurriao
- Tribu Pan-Ay from Fort San Pedro National High School
This year’s theme, “Buhi nga Pagtuo sa Kinabuhi sang mga Ilonggo” (Living Faith in the Life of the Ilonggos), reflects the spiritual and cultural richness of the Ilonggo community.
The tribes performed in four judging areas across Iloilo City, impressing audiences with their elaborate costumes, synchronized movements, and dynamic storytelling.
The Dinagyang Festival 2025 continues to be a testament to the enduring traditions, unity, and faith of the Ilonggos.
