The administration of Jaro 1 Elementary School has explained its policy regarding the prohibition of parents entering the school grounds.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Gracia Malazarte, Principal of the said school, stated that they have conducted four meetings with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to discuss and clarify the policy in question.
Malazarte emphasized that according to the Child Protection Policy of the Department of Education (DepEd), parents are not allowed to enter the school premises for the safety of the students.
She further urged parents to understand and respect the policy.
However, Malazarte clarified that parents may be allowed to enter the school during important events or occasions.
