The Low Pressure Area (LPA) currently being monitored within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The LPA is located near the coastline of Mahinog, Camiguin.
Meanwhile, the Shear Line is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon.
The Shear Line is a narrow region where there is a rapid change in wind direction.
This causes the convergence of winds, resulting in frequent thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in the affected areas.
The Northeast Monsoon, also known as the “Amihan,” continues to influence the rest of Luzon, bringing cooler weather conditions to these regions.
Residents are urged to stay alert and follow updates from PAGASA and local authorities regarding the potential impacts of the LPA and other weather systems in the country.
