𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗡, 𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 – A 59-year-old man was found lifeless near the shoreline of Poblacion East, Oton, Iloilo, early this morning.
The victim, identified as Marcelino Todorejos Sr., a resident of Poblacion South, Oton, was reportedly working on a well construction project before he went missing.
According to his wife, Rebecca Todorejos, Marcelino left their home around 3:00 PM yesterday to gather sand for his work. However, he failed to return after several hours, prompting concern from his family.
This morning, his body was discovered near the seawall with a wound on his hand. Authorities suspect that his extreme exhaustion may have caused him to fall into the seawall, leading to his tragic death.
Condolences and messages of sympathy poured in from family, friends, and concerned citizens on social media. Some netizens also raised concerns about the uncensored images of the victim shared in news reports.
Authorities are still investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of death.
