𝗦𝗧𝗔. 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔, 𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 – A man was shot and killed on Monday in what appears to be a love triangle-related incident in Sitio Riles, Brgy. Lanag.
The victim, identified as Rodito Celis Jr. from Brgy. Omambog, Sta. Barbara, was reportedly in a relationship with a woman, identified only as “Alyas May-may,” who is married and has children.
According to local authorities, the suspect, Ronald Susvilla, 45, also of Sta. Barbara, had previously been in a live-in relationship with Alyas May-may, and they share a daughter.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Captain Raffy Señeres, officer-in-charge of the Sta. Barbara Municipal Police Station, stated that Susvilla had visited Alyas May-may to check on their child.
While the victim, Celis Jr., was resting in the bedroom, Alyas May-may was in the kitchen.
Suddenly, Alyas May-may heard a gunshot.
She quickly rushed to the scene and found Susvilla shooting Celis Jr. in the chest and neck.
Authorities recovered seven empty shell casings and two unfired bullets from the crime scene.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the area, while the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival due to his gunshot wounds.
Police later confirmed that Susvilla had a previous run-in with the Sta. Barbara Police but had resolved the issue.
Investigations are underway to determine the exact motive for the crime, and authorities are actively working to apprehend the suspect.
