MANILA, Philippines — Get ready to plan your vacations and file your leaves early! This April, Filipinos can look forward to five holidays spread across the first three weeks of the month.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared April 1 (Monday) a regular holiday nationwide in observance of Eid’l-Fitr, the Islamic festival marking the end of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, under Proclamation No. 727, April 9 (Tuesday) is designated as a regular holiday to commemorate Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor). The following week, Maundy Thursday (April 17) and Good Friday (April 18) are also declared regular holidays in observance of Holy Week.
Additionally, April 19 (Black Saturday) has been declared a special non-working holiday.
