𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – Authorities are still working to determine the identity of the mother who abandoned her two fetuses at the compound of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 6 in Barangay Concepcion, City Proper.
The fetuses were discovered on Monday, January 13, inside a plant box at the entrance of the building, while another was found in a seating area.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, spokesperson for the Iloilo City Police Office 6, explained that the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in the area were not functioning, which could have helped in the investigation.
Sangrines also mentioned that the fetuses were likely abandoned over the weekend, as there were no people on guard at the location at that time.
The authorities confirmed that the mother was not an employee of the agency and that the fetuses were estimated to be about four months old.
The fetuses were brought to the Regional Forensic Unit 6, where DNA samples were taken before they were buried.
