The Philippine weather bureau has reported that no low-pressure area (LPA) is currently being monitored outside the country.
However, the shear line is affecting Extreme Northern Luzon. The shear line is a narrow zone where there is a sudden change in wind direction. Due to the convergence of winds in this area, frequent thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are likely to occur.
Meanwhile, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is affecting Southern Mindanao. The ITCZ is a region where winds from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres meet, often resulting in adverse weather conditions such as LPAs and typhoons.
The rest of the country is experiencing the effects of easterlies—warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean that bring hot and humid weather.
