North Korea has officially confirmed that it has sent troops to assist Russia in its ongoing conflict against Ukraine.
The deployment order reportedly came directly from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Russian Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov earlier praised the bravery of the North Korean soldiers, commending their contribution to Russia’s military efforts.
It can be recalled that Ukraine had previously revealed that Russia had recruited North Korean troops, with reports indicating that the number could be as high as 11,000 soldiers.
