A total of 17,646 applicants took the Admission Exam at West Visayas State University (WVSU) across its different campuses today.
Of the total examinees, 10,491 took the test at the main campus, while 7,155 were from satellite campuses.
The first batch of examinees started their test at 9:00 AM, followed by the second batch at 1:00 PM.
Among the parents who accompanied their children was Liezel Aurora from Barangay Inamyungan, Bingawan, Iloilo. In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Aurora shared that she and her child woke up as early as 3:00 AM and left for the university at 5:00 AM to ensure they arrived on time.
She added that her child dreams of studying at WVSU due to its free tuition and high-quality education system. The student hopes to take a pre-med course and later pursue a degree in medicine.
