ILOILO CITY – Nabaton na sang Pilipinas ang P135 million nga ayuda halin sa South Korea bilang bulig sa smart farming technologies sa local nga mga mangunguma.
Matandaan nga ginlunsyar sang Department of Agriculture ang duha ka smart greenhouse projects sa Iloilo kag Bukidnon nga ginpondohan sang South Korea balor 3.15 billion won ukon P135 million.
Ang proyekto ang ginpondohan sang Ministry of Agriculture kag Food and Rural Affairs pinaagi sa Korea Agency of Education, Promotion and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries nga magalawig tubtub sa 2024.
Suno kay Agriculture Secretary William Dar, sa sini nga proyekto, gamiton ang modern sustainable vegetable technologies agud maganyat ang mga mangunguma sa Westerm Visayas kag Mindanao nga magpadamo sang mga produkto kag makaganar sang dako.
Sa Mindanao, ang magatukod sang 11 ka mga smart greenhouses sa Northern Mindanao Agricultural Crops kag Livestock Research Complex sa Bukidon sa diin ipatuman ang advanced kag adaptive technological training sa pagpadamo sang strawberries, patatas kag cherry tomatoes.
Sa Western Visayas naman partikular sa Integrated Agricultural Research Center sa Iloilo City, dugang nga 10 ka mga smart greenhouses ang ipatukod kag mahanas sang mga mangunguma para sa modern production sang uhong kag cherry tomatoes.
“I hope these smart greenhouse projects will pave the way for more collaborative undertaking between the Philippines and South Korea that would be of mutual benefit to our countries.”
Magabulig man ang South Korea sa paghanas sa mga mangunguma, researchers kag supervising officers sa duha ka mga rehiyon.
“This project from the Korean government forms part of the continuing efforts of the administration to modernize and industrialize the country’s agriculture and fishery sector, and attain food security,” pahayag ni Secretary Dar.
