Ginkumpirma sang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) nga ang plano ni Police Gen. Nicolas Torre III nga magpatigayon sang reshuffle sa hanay sang Philippine National Police (PNP) ang isa sa mga kabangdanan sa iya pagka-”relief” sa puwesto.

Suno kay Remulla, ginmaduan sang National Police Commission (Napolcom) si Torre nga bawion ang reassignment sang pila ka matag-as nga opisyal, lakip na si Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.,ang ikaduha nga pinakamataas nga opisyal sang PNP nga ginpasaylo ni Torre sa Mindanao.
Sa opisyal nga pahayag sang Napolcom, ang ginpatigayon nga appointment ang wala nag-agi sa en banc approval sang komisyon nga may administrative power sa idalom sang Republic Act 6975 ukon DILG Act.
Ginlaragway pa ni Remulla ang desisyon nga pagabuslan si Torre ang isa ka mabudlay apang kinahanglan, kag ginhimo ini alang-alang sa ”national interest” ng pungsod.
‘This was not an easy choice, but it was made in the national interest,’ pahayag pa ni Remulla.
Dugang pa sang opisyal nga nanindugan si President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nga dapat mag-function ang ”security apparatus” nga yara sa idalom sang layi, kag respetuhon ang papel sang Napolcom.
‘The President believes that national security apparatus must always work within the framework of the law,’ dugang pa ni Remulla.
‘The President must be presented with the facts and he determined that the best course of action is to uphold the role of Napolcom as it was intended by law,’.
