Philippine representative Alexie Mae Brooks earned the first runner-up award in the talent portion of the Miss Eco International 2025 pageant held in Egypt.
In a video shared online, the Filipino-American beauty queen was seen performing “Set Fire to the Rain” by English superstar Adele.
Alexie, who hails from Iloilo, posted about her performance after the event: “At nag 1st runner up pa nga po tayo hahaha pero hindi sa takbo! Special thanks to Coach Carlo Yanesa for your time and help po and to the Miss Eco International.”
Before this, Alexie went viral after sharing a story where she joked with her fellow candidates that she might just run during the talent portion, since she is also an athlete in the Philippines.
In the same category, Canada won the Miss Eco Talent title for her tap dance performance, while Japan took the second runner-up spot with her beautiful traditional dance presentation.
Alexie previously placed in the Top 10 of Miss Universe Philippines 2024, where Chelsea Manalo was crowned the winner.
In an earlier interview with Bombo Radyo, Brooks shared that prior to flying to Egypt, she and her team were already in full preparation mode to deliver their best on stage—this included the question-and-answer portion, runway performance, and her advocacy work, which focuses on women empowerment.
This is her first international pageant, which she considers both a pressure-filled and privileged experience. Should she win the title, she would become the third Filipina to be crowned Miss Eco International.
