Ginplastar ni President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. nga gin-abisuhan sini ang iya subang nga bata nga si Ilocos Norte First District Rep. Sandro Marcos nga himuon ang iya nga constitutional duty nga aktuhan ang impeachment complaint nga yara sa Kamara.
Kaangot ini sa ginamuno sang kadam-an nga nagpahayag anay si President Marcos nga indi siya pabor sa impeachment batok kay Vice President Sara Duterte, apang ang iya anak man nga si Sandro amo ang una nga nagpirma sa ikaapat nga complaint.
Ang pamangkot, nagpamangkot man bala si Sandro sa iya amay kun ano ang iya himuon?
“He did,” sabat sang chief executive. Gindugang sini nga naglaygay lang ini sa iya bata nga himuon lang ang trabaho sini sang nag-umpisa na ang proseso sa lower chamber.
”So, sabi ko, ‘nandiyan na tayo,’ sabi ko kay Cong. Sandro. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘The process has already begun. So, it’s your duty now to support that process. So, do your duty.’ That’s what I told him, ‘Do your duty. You have to support the process. You are constitutionally mandated to carry out that process. “I didn’t know he’ll be the first to sign though,” pahayag sini.
Nagapati man si Marcos nga ang pagdayon sang impeachment kay Sara ang wala nagapakita nga ginsumpakil na sang mga kongresista ang iya nga mandu.
“It’s not defiance, kung ganyan ang kanilang paniniwala eh,” suno kay Marcos. “I view that as expressing what they feel to be right.”
Sa press briefing, ginklaro man sang presidente nga wala siya sang labot sa pag-impeach sang Kamara sa bise-presidente.
“Once the impeachment complaints were filed, they have no choice. The House has no choice, the Senate has no choice but to act on the complaints, and that is exactly what happened,” pahayag sini. “Nakatali na ang kamay nila, they have to do this.”
Ginpahayag man sini nga kun mag-umpisa na ang impeachment proceedings, magalantaw lamang siya, wala sang siya sang papel diri, kag wala sang mangin representasyon halin sa Executive.
“From this point on, I’m just a very interested observer. I will not be part of it. There will be no representation from the Executive, why should there be? We leave it to the wisdom of the Senate to exercise their wisdom,” dugang sini.
Sa plenaryo sa Kamara sang Myerkules, 215 sa 306 ka mga mamalidha ang nag-suporta sa bag-o nga impeachment complaint batok kay Duterte nga amo ang rason sa pagpasaka sini nga reklamo sa Senado para sa trial nga posible maga-resulta sa pagkakas kay Sara sa pwesto.
Base sa House resolution, nagkomiter si Sara sang “violation of the constitution, betrayal of public trust, graft and corruption, and other high crimes”.#
