DUMANGAS, Iloilo — A house in Barangay Tamboilan was ransacked by unidentified suspects while the homeowner was away, local police confirmed.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Master Sergeant John Mark Tuazon of the Dumangas Municipal Police Station said the house was unoccupied at the time of the break-in, as the owner was staying in Iloilo City.

The homeowner reportedly returned to retrieve some documents for her children and discovered that the padlock on their door had been destroyed.

Upon entering, she found the house in complete disarray. Missing items included a laptop, two iPads, more than ₱100,000 in cash, jewelry, and other personal belongings.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident and have already identified a person of interest.
