Alimodian, Iloilo — The statues at Station 13 of Agony Hill in Alimodian have been restored after being defaced with paint by a group of teenagers.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, painter Calson Alinday revealed that five minors, all high school students, were involved in the act of vandalism. According to Alinday, he witnessed the group opening a can of paint and deliberately splashing it on the religious images.
Authorities believe the incident was a result of a prank or so-called “tripping” among the teens.
The five minors were brought to the Alimodian Municipal Police Station and later turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO). They were also presented to Alimodian Mayor Ian Keneth Alfiche for proper intervention and resolution.
