Ginpasaka na ang isa ka petisyon sa Commission on Elections (Comelec)agud ikanselar ang certificate of candidacy (COC) ni Pastor Apollo Quiboloy bangud sa ginapahayag nga “material misrepresentation.”
Ini nga pito ka pahina nga petisyon ang gin-file sang labor leader nga si Sonny Matula kag sang Workers’ and Peasants’ Party (WPP).
Ginpahayag sini nga ang gin-insister ni Quiboloy nga nomination bilang kandidato sang WPP ang wala sang “factual kag legal nga basehan” kag ang iya ginpresentar nga Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance (CONA) ang ginhimo man sang indi otorisado nga mga tawo.
Pahayag pa sang partido, indi nila party member kag indi man nila guest candidate si Quiboloy.
“The CONA submitted purportedly from the WPP was signed by a certain Mark Kristopher Tolentino, who is not a party officer and not authorized to [sign the] CONA. The individual who submitted the CONA of the respondent was not authorized to do so under the party’s internal procedures and rules submitted to this honorable commission, including the authorized signatories for such certificates,” kabahin sang petisyon.

Dugang sang partido, ginagamit lamang ni Quiboiloy ang eleksyon agud nga maagaw ang atensyon sang publiko halin sa seryoso nga mga kaso-kriminal nga iya ginaatubang.
“It is submitted that as shown in his action, his certificate has been filed to put the election process in mockery as Quiboloy is playing a ‘smoke and mirrors’ game at the expense of the WPP,” suno sa party.
“He is exploiting the electoral process as a smokescreen to deflect attention from the serious criminal charges he faces, including qualified human trafficking and sexual abuse of minors. This undermines the integrity of the 2025 senatorial elections and makes a mockery of our democratic system,” dugang sini.
