Parents of students at Jaro 1 Elementary School have expressed their frustration after being denied entry to the school, causing an uproar among the community.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Bong Diaz, a parent of a Grade 2 student, revealed his surprise and disappointment upon being informed that he could no longer accompany his daughter inside the school premises.

Diaz emphasized that he was taken aback by the decision, especially as he had not received any prior notice or invitation regarding a meeting to discuss the new policy.

According to Diaz, the school administration should have informed and consulted the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) members before implementing such a policy.

He also described the policy as a disadvantage for parents, particularly in the case of his 7-year-old daughter, who struggles with the weight of her school supplies.

Diaz hopes that the school will call for a meeting with parents to clarify and discuss the reasons behind the new policy.
