Nagsabat ang Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) nga nagadamgo lamang si President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sang ginpahayag sini nga wala na sang aktibo nga guerilla fronts ang New People’s Army (NPA) sa Pilipinas.
Suno kay CPP Chief Information Officer Marco Valbuena, aktibo gihapon ang NPA sa 14 ka mga regional commands sa bug-os nga pungsod kag may yara man sang guerrilla fronts.
Sang tinalikdan nga inadlaw, nagpahayag si Marcos nga wala na sang active NPA guerilla fronts as of December 2023 matapos nga na-neutralize sang gobyerno ang 1,400 ka mga myembro sang extremist groups.
“If Marcos’s declarations were true, why is it that around 60-70,000 military and police combat troops (or around 150 battalions of AFP and PNP counterinsurgency units) remain deployed against the NPA across the country?” suno kay Valbuena.
“Why do they continue to squander hundreds of millions of pesos to drop bombs and fire their howitzers?”

“The NPA continues to carry out guerrilla maneuvers to break out of the AFP’s encirclement, to quietly build a bigger mass base and expand its guerrilla fronts,” dugang ni Valbuena.
