General Santos City – A female patrol officer shot her live-in partner, a police lieutenant, during a heated argument inside their rented home in Lansang Village, Barangay Sinawal, at around 8:30 a.m. on March 24, 2025.
According to reports, the suspect had been seeking advice from her partner, Police Lt. Joseph, while they were having coffee.
She allegedly shared concerns about workplace bullying, but his response—calling her “crazy” and saying she “belonged in a mental hospital”—enraged her.
In a fit of anger, she drew her service firearm and shot him in the chest.
General Santos City Police Director Col. Nicomedes Olaivar stated that an investigation is ongoing.
Authorities are awaiting the victim’s decision on whether to press or drop the frustrated homicide charge against the patrolwoman.
