𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗟𝗔 – Robinsons Land Director Robina Gokongwei-Pe had netizens buzzing once again with a cheeky post featuring snake decorations at Robinsons Department Store.

In the Facebook photo, Gokongwei-Pe humorously captioned her picture, showing off two snake-shaped decors draped over her arms:

“Look who finally decided to come out of hiding. My shining, shimmering golden twin (with his pretty in pink girlfriend)!”

Her playful post quickly sparked memories of the infamous 90s rumor that Gokongwei-Pe allegedly had a half-man, half-snake twin hidden in the fitting rooms of the department store.

According to the tale, the twin would wait for unsuspecting shoppers before striking.

Gokongwei-Pe was quick to deny the rumors during a 1991 interview with Probe Productions, where she expressed frustration over the wild claims.

“Inviting everyone to go there, and nako, if anybody can find that creature, I swear I’m going to give the entire Galleria to him,” she said, adding a humorous twist with a wordplay on the Filipino word for snake, “sawa.” “Sawang-sawa talaga ako.”

The rumors returned to the public eye in 2018 when Robinsons Galleria released a commercial for its renovation, featuring actress Alice Dixson as a playful “victim” of the legendary snake.

Dixson herself has also dismissed the stories, calling them untrue.

Now, with her recent social media post, Gokongwei-Pe has brought the legendary tale back into the spotlight, delighting both long-time followers and newer audiences with a humorous wink to the past.
