Filipino Olympian Eumir Marcial has found himself in the spotlight once again—not for his boxing victories but for allegations made by his wife of infidelity and abuse in their marriage.

In an official statement released by Princess Marcial, she announced her intent to take her accusations to court and submit evidence of her husband’s alleged “love affair.”

According to Princess, she caught Eumir and his alleged mistress, Jessa Santos, in the act at a condominium in Pasay City in October 2024, shortly after the Paris Olympics.

During that incident, both Eumir and his mistress were detained for five days. However, Eumir was released after Princess signed an affidavit of desistance to withdraw her complaint in the hope of salvaging their marriage.

Despite this second chance, Princess claims the situation worsened. She alleged that Eumir and his mistress moved to Zamboanga, where they built a house using money she and Eumir had saved together.

“Little did I know that what started as a small act quickly grew into a sickening love affair with his young mistress from his hometown in Zamboanga City. Currently, I’ve managed to maintain some correspondence with mutual and trusted friends in Zamboanga City, who said that Eumir and his mistress have decided to live together. Apparently, he withdrew all our savings to construct a house for them,” she said in her statement.

Princess also revealed threats allegedly made by Eumir, including statements that she would receive nothing if they separated.

“As some of you may also know, I have been Eumir’s brand manager for the longest time, sacrificing my career to help build his. With this, I have also received active threats from Eumir saying he will ensure that I can no longer step in America nor get anything from our separation,” she wrote in a Facebook post.

Princess said she has cut all communication with Eumir following trauma, manipulation, emotional stress, physical abuse, and psychological torment she claims to have endured.

“Our marriage means a lot to me because it has divine blessing and is the foundation of every family. How Eumir disrespected his vows to God and to me by cheating on me and continuously deceiving me has hurt me in unimaginable ways. I don’t think I can ever survive the pain, but I hope that by speaking up and helping other women who may have been suffering in silence, I will find the strength to fight for what is right before God,” she added.

While she refrained from detailing other incidents due to her pending court case, Princess explained that she went public with the matter to ensure her safety and that of her family and witnesses.

Princess is a former amateur boxing national champion and the daughter of former Cagayan de Oro boxing trainer and international referee Reynaldo Galarpe. She also serves as Eumir’s brand manager.

The couple married in 2021, the same year Marcial won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Before tying the knot, they had been in a relationship for nine years.

After Eumir lost in his semifinal bout in the men’s light heavyweight category at the 2024 Paris Games, he and Princess were seen together, and their relationship was praised for the emotional support she provided during the competition.

Eumir turned professional in 2020 and currently holds a 5-0 win-loss record.
