𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 – Residents who were affected by a recent fire in Barangay Rizal, Lapuz Sur, Iloilo City are calling for help and requesting relocation sites.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Ruth Guco, one of the fire victims, appealed to the landowner to provide consideration and offer a relocation site for the displaced families.
Guco shared that they were shocked when they were informed, they would not be allowed to return to their previous land. She added that, at the moment, they have no place to stay and are struggling to rebuild their lives.
The fire resulted in damages estimated at P1.2 million, and tragically, a senior citizen lost their life in the incident.
Currently, the fire victims are temporarily taking shelter at Jalandoni Memorial Elementary School as they wait for further assistance.
