Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte – An election officer was killed while her husband was injured after unidentified gunmen ambushed them in Barangay Makir, Datu Odin Sinsuat, on the morning of March 26, 2025.
The victims, identified as Datu Odin Sinsuat Election Officer Maceda Lidasan Abo and her husband, Jojo Abo, were on their way to the Dalican Election Office when armed assailants opened fire on their SUV.
Authorities are currently investigating the attack to determine the motive and identify the suspects behind the crime.
Maguindanao del Norte Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Nabil Mutia confirmed that Maceda Abo had succumbed to her injuries, while her husband remains under medical care.
