Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has launched a scathing attack on three Western leaders, accusing them of siding with Hamas following their public criticism of Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza.

In a strongly worded statement, Netanyahu singled out UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The Israeli leader accused them of effectively supporting what he described as “mass murderers, rapists, baby killers, and kidnappers” — a reference to Hamas militants.

“I say to President Macron, Prime Minister Carney, and Prime Minister Starmer: when mass murderers, rapists, baby killers, and kidnappers thank you, you’re on the wrong side of justice,” Netanyahu declared.

The remarks came in response to recent comments from the three leaders, who have criticized Israel’s actions in Gaza as “disproportionate” and responsible for an “intolerable” humanitarian crisis. Their statements reflect growing international concern over the scale of civilian casualties and infrastructure destruction in the region.

As of May 2025, more than 53,000 people — including thousands of children — are reported to have died in the conflict, which has continued unabated since October 2023.

While Downing Street has yet to directly respond to Netanyahu’s accusations, officials pointed to Prime Minister Starmer’s earlier condemnation of antisemitism and a recent attack in Washington, D.C., as evidence of his balanced stance.

The war in Gaza remains a deeply polarizing issue on the global stage, with rising calls for a ceasefire and renewed diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation and civilian suffering.
