A barangay health worker died after being electrocuted at a flooded health center in Meycauayan, Bulacan.
The victim was identified as Cristina Abisate Padora, 49 years old.
According to the Bulacan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), the incident occurred when Padora went to the health station to ensure that medical supplies and vaccines were safe from rising floodwaters.
However, she reportedly passed under a tent near the health center where a live wire was in contact with the structure.
She accidentally touched the metal frame of the tent, which resulted in a fatal electric shock.
