Nagsugod ang paandam kahapon, Agusto 25, matapos gamiton ni private prosecutor Atty. Mae Divinagracia ang amo nga mga tinaga samtang ginapamangkot ang Office of the Vice President (OVP) Assistant Chief of Staff Lemuel Ortonio nga isa ka hostile witness.
Gintawag ni Atty. Divinagracia nga “scam” ang nagkalain-lain nga mga sabat sang OVP sa Commission on Audit (COA) tuhoy sa paggamit sang confidential funds.
“In short, you will also agree with me na kapag paiba-iba ang rason, maaaring nagsisinungaling lang or talaga namang ito ay isa lamang scam?” suno sa private prosecutor sa direct examination.
Nag-object gilayon si Atty. Kristine Ferrer sang defense team kag nag-mosyon nga kakason ini sa record.
Wala pa diri natapos.
Gintawag man ni Atty. Divinagracia si Vice President Sara Duterte nga “architect” kag “mastermind” matapos magsiling si Ortonio nga ang bise presidente mismo ang nagpangayo sang pondo kag nagmando sa pag-release, pag-encash, paggamit kag liquidation sini.
“In short you will agree with me that this whole confidential funds matter, ang arkitekto at mastermind nito ay si Sara Duterte,” suno sa abogada.
Nagpamalabag liwat si Atty. Ferrer.
“This is a solemn proceeding, this is a court of law, this is a court of procedure and actually a court of decorum. We are not supposed to make insinuations, accusations or conclusions your honor, so we request the court to kindly remind the prosecution,” suno sa defense lawyer.
Ginpasugtan ni Presiding Officer kag Senator-Judge Francis “Chiz” Escudero ang pag-object sang defense kag pagpakakas sang amo nga mga tinaga sa record sang impeachment court.
Ginpahanumdom sini sa prosecution nga maggamit sang mas nagakaangay nga mga tinaga pareho sang “approved by,” “with the consent,” ukon “with the full knowledge of.”
Nagpangayo naman sang pasaylo si Divinagracia kag nagsiling nga nadala lamang sila sang ila “zeal and passion” sa pagpresentar sang kaso. Ginhulam man sini ang mga tinaga ni Atty. Lorna Kapunan nga tinguhaan nila nga mag-“behave”.
“We apologize, sometimes we get carried away by our zeal and our passion but to me and the prosecution, we just want to wall a spade a spade,” suno sa prosecutor.#
