Pormal na nga ginhatag sang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang promotion kay Petty Officer Second Class (PO2) Nesthy Petecio PCG matapos ang pagdaog sini sang bronze medal sa Paris Olympics 2024.
Ginpatigayon ini sa seremonya sa Monday morning colors sa National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila, Disyembre 2, sa pagpanguna ni PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan.
Halin sa PO2, ginpasaka ang rank ni Petecio sa Petty Officer First Class (PO1).
Sa mensahe ni Admiral Gavan, ginpahayag sini nga ang promotion sa Pinoy Olympian ang wala lamang naga-apresyar sa iya kadalag-an sa sports kundi sa dedikasyon sini, disiplina, kag kaalam bilang kabahin sang Coast Guard.

You are an inspirational to us all, embodying the values of integrity, patriotism, and professionalism – both in the service and on the world stage,” suno kay Gavan.

Matandaan nga nakuha ni Petecio ang bronze medal sa women’s boxing 57kg semifinals. Siya, si Aira Villegas, kag si Carlos Yulo ang nakabulsa sang medalya para sa Pilipinas subong nga Summer Games.
Sang Tokyo Olympics sang 2021, nadala man pauli ni Petecio ang silver medal sa boksing.#
