An Ilonggo has given his community a reason to celebrate this holiday season after achieving an impressive Rank 2 in the December 2024 Physical Therapists Licensure Examination.
Andrei Dylan Joplo Villaruz, a 21-year-old from Poblacion, Molo, Iloilo City, reached this milestone through hard work, dedication, and a strong support system.
Villaruz, who graduated with High Honors from Colegio De Las Hijas De Jesus, Inc. for both his elementary and senior high school education, continued his academic excellence by earning a Cum Laude distinction from St. Paul University Iloilo.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Villaruz credited his parents, both Medical Technologists working in Florida, USA, for influencing his decision to enter the medical field.
Despite being overseas, they provided continuous guidance and encouragement.
