𝗠𝗜𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗢, 𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 – A woman tragically lost her life after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run accident in Barangay Kirayan Norte, Miagao, Iloilo. The vehicle involved was a Toyota Vios sedan.
The victim has been identified as Jenery Neirves Naldoza, 40, a married resident of the area. The driver of the vehicle, John Perez, is a resident of Barangay Damilisan, Miagao, Iloilo.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Police Major Richard Lao, head of the Miagao Municipal Police Station, shared that the victim was dancing along the roadside when she was struck by a car traveling from Guimbal, Iloilo.
According to Lao, the driver was speeding and did not notice the woman on the road. The victim sustained injuries to her head and various parts of her body.
The driver fled the scene but later turned himself in to the police after his identity was determined. Authorities are still determining whether the victim’s family will file charges against the driver.
