GOLDMEDALIST has admitted that South Korea’s highest-paid actor, Kim Soo-hyun, and the late Kim Sae-ron were in a past relationship but refuted claims that it occurred while she was a minor.
On March 14, the agency released a statement rejecting allegations by HoverLab Inc. that Soo-hyun was romantically involved with Sae-ron when she was 15 and he was 27.
They clarified that the two were in a relationship from mid-2019 to late 2020, after Sae-ron had become a legal adult.
The agency also addressed circulating photos, affirming their authenticity but stating that they were misrepresented to fuel false narratives.
Additionally, GOLDMEDALIST denied allegations of financial misconduct, emphasizing that Soo-hyun never lent money to Sae-ron.
Following the controversy, the agency revealed that Soo-hyun is experiencing psychological distress due to the accusations.
They urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation and emphasized the importance of context and accuracy in the discussion.
