Good news for motorists this Holy Week — a bigtime oil price rollback is set to take effect this coming Holy Tuesday, according to oil industry sources.

Here are the expected price cuts per liter:

  • Gasoline – down by ₱3.60
  • Diesel – down by ₱2.90
  • Kerosene – down by ₱3.30

According to the Department of Energy (DOE), the significant rollback is due to the ongoing trade tensions between the United States and China, which have led to a decline in global demand for crude oil.

“The rising geopolitical tension has dampened global crude demand, causing prices to fall — and this is now being reflected in local pump prices,” the DOE said.

This rollback is expected to provide some relief to Filipino motorists, especially as many travel home or go on vacation during the Holy Week break.
